Adversity is a part of life. You know that already. There are moments when you feel the weight pressing in, and it can be hard to see how you will get out of it. I’m sorry it’s hard right now. These seasons come, go, and sometimes linger.
With God’s help and God’s strength, you can overcome any adversity that comes into your life. You do not have to stand in your own power. You can lean on the One who is strong when you are weak.
Paul reminded the believers in Philippi, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13, NKJV). This was not a promise of an easy life. Paul knew hardship, persecution, and loss. Yet he learned the secret of relying on Jesus’ strength in every situation. You are learning that, too. You can face what comes with quiet confidence because Jesus is with you.
One area that helps in your prayer life is to acknowledge your limitations. It is humbling, yet also freeing. You do not have to pretend to have it all together. You do not need to act as if you have endless strength. God is leading you to trust Him and to step forward in faith, even when you feel uncertain. His power is made perfect in your weakness.
You’ll remember that time Paul wrestled with that “thorn, “And He said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness’ (2 Corinthians 12:9, NKJV). Your weakness is not a barrier to God’s work in your life. It’s the very source. It is an opportunity to see His grace and strength in action. It is in the moments when you feel like you cannot continue that God often shows you He can carry you.
You may feel surrounded by challenges that seem impossible to overcome. Financial struggles, health concerns, broken relationships, or burdens in ministry can leave you feeling exhausted. But remember, you are not facing these trials alone. God is faithful, and He promises to help you. “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand” (Isaiah 41:10, NKJV). You can rest in that promise today.
Step out in faith. Take the next step God is asking you to take, even if it feels small. Keep praying. Keep trusting. Keep serving. God is at work, and He will provide what you need. You can face each day with hope because the Lord is your strength.
With God’s help, you can face today. With God’s strength, you can keep moving forward. He is with you, and He will not fail you.
