What does the Bible say about Perseverance?

1 Chronicles 16:11 (NKJV) Seek the Lord and His strength; Seek His face evermore!

Psalm 37:7 (NKJV) Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him; Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, Because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass.”

Psalm 40:1 (NKJV) I waited patiently for the Lord; And He inclined to me, And heard my cry.

Lamentations 3:25–27 (NKJV) The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, To the soul who seeks Him. It is good that one should hope and wait quietly For the salvation of the Lord. It is good for a man to bear The yoke in his youth.

Galatians 6:9 (NKJV) And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.

Philippians 4:11 (NKJV) Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content:

Hebrews 10:36 (NKJV) “For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise:”

James 1:2–4 (NKJV) My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.

James 5:7–8 (NKJV) Therefore be patient, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, waiting patiently for it until it receives the early and latter rain. You also be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand.

2 Peter 1:5–9 (NKJV) But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love. For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. For he who lacks these things is shortsighted, even to blindness, and has forgotten that he was cleansed from his old sins.
