God is at work today on the earth. As the soon return of Jesus gets closer and closer, God is raising up men and women around the world to serve Him, drawing many into a relationship with Him. You are one of those God has chosen.
John 5:17 (NKJV) “But Jesus answered them, “My Father has been working until now, and I have been working.”
No one ever serves Jesus alone. We are a part of a family of believers, the Body of Christ. We are intertwined together, tightly connected, in our calling to serve God faithfully.
1 Peter 2:4–5 (NKJV) “Coming to Him as to a living stone, rejected indeed by men, but chosen by God and precious, you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.”
It’s important to know that “WE” is the language of ministry. No matter your role or responsibility, you are a part of the hand-picked team of God. Throughout the Bible, we watch God raise up a “team” of men and women to accomplish His will on the earth. From the leader to the various support roles, each team member is vital, meaningful, and together used mightily of the Lord! We can do more together than we could ever do alone!
1 Corinthians 12:18–21 (NKJV) “But now God has set the members, each one of them, in the body just as He pleased. And if they were all one member, where would the body be? But now indeed there are many members, yet one body.
You are never alone as you serve God. You are part of a much larger community, His Body, the Church. And we need each other desperately to fulfill our individual and collective calling to serve Him. Your strengths help my weaknesses as my strengths help your weaknesses. Spiritual dependence upon the Lord and mutual collaboration are essential keys to success!
It’s time for the Family of God to step up, one by one, and take their rightful place in society. But we can’t do it alone; we need each other! We are the salt and light of the earth, the hope of the world, and a people who God is raising up to do great things in His Name.
Are you serving God today? If not, I encourage you to take that step. And if you are, ask God to reveal to you how you can better serve Him as part of the Family. We need you! You are vital to the work God is doing on the earth today. Don’t try and go it alone; serve God together with His people. You are better together!
1 Corinthians 1:26–31 (NKJV) “For you see your calling, brethren, that not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called. But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty; and the base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are, that no flesh should glory in His presence. But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God—and righteousness and sanctification and redemption—that, as it is written, “He who glories, let him glory in the Lord.”
What role has God called you to play in His Kingdom? Are you fulfilling it to the best of your ability? If not, what is holding you back? Serving God is not a solo effort; we were never meant to do it alone. We are better together! So let’s start serving God today, together!
There are plenty of ways to get involved in serving God. If you don’t know where to start, that’s ok! Talk to a pastor or a leader in your Church. They would be more than happy to help you find a place to serve that suits your gifts and talents.
So what are you waiting for? Let’s go out and serve God together! He is waiting for us! Together we can accomplish so much more for His Kingdom than we ever could alone. So let’s do it! You are better together! Serving God is more fun and effective when we do it together! Let’s go out and change the world, together, for Him!
