What is Easter really about anyway? Is it about family and friends, colored eggs and bunnies, or candy and baskets?  Sure, a lot of that surrounds the lives of so many as another Easter comes and goes, but are those really the reasons for such a glorious day?

Isn’t Easter the celebration of the wonderful and magnificent resurrection of Jesus Christ? It is! The resurrection of Jesus is the singular reason for any celebration on Easter Sunday. Because we are rejoicing in His resurrected life, the issues of life and death are unavoidable. There can be no resurrection without the cross.  There is no eternal life without the epic and unfair death of Jesus. Life is found only in Him!

The scene surrounding the cross of Jesus is a solemn one. Jesus was lied about, arrested, falsely accused, vehemently interrogated, viciously beaten, and tortuously crucified on a Roman cross. His death wrecked those who loved Him the most. For three days great pain, grief, and agony  filled the hearts of so many.

Three days later hope arises! The tomb is empty. Jesus rose from the dead!  Because He lives, we can have life.  What a privilege it is to share with you that Jesus is the only way to a right relationship with God. He can forgive your sin. He can change your life.

There is a great exchange waiting for you today.

Great Exchange you ask? Yes. Jesus’ perfection for your imperfection. Jesus’ sinlessness for your sins. Jesus’ forgiveness for your guilt. Life exchanged for death!

You cannot get to heaven apart from Jesus. He loves you and gave His life for you, personally! Repent of your sins and submit your life to the lordship of Jesus today.   You can know that your sins have been forgiven. You can know that you will spend eternity with your loving Savior.

If you want to follow Jesus you can begin by praying this prayer, “Dear God, I admit that I am a sinner and I am so sorry for all of my sins. Thank you for loving me. Thank you for dying on the cross in my place. I open the door of my heart and I ask you to come into my life to be my personal Lord and Savior. I repent and turn away from all of my sins. Now help me fall you will all the way to heaven until I see you face-to-face. In Jesus name, amen”

If you prayed that, contact me. I’d like to send you something that will help you follow Jesus the rest of your life!
